Kyung Youl Yoon’s solo exhibition will be held in Korea again after starting and traveling from Spain, Korea, America, and Shanghai, China. The invitational solo show will be on view at Seoul United Gallery in Korea. Yoon’s recent works will be displayed for the first time, and Journey exhibition is a meaningful show for him. “I have an itinerant life…” For him, his long journey was like a short moment for him as he was working on art. Layers by layers, everything was input to the works and made to completion. Like a moment becomes a point, line, and color, his whole life is being drawn and painted as an art piece. In his recent Recycle series, Yoon’s art aluminum materials were abandoned, scattered, and remained. However, with Yoon’s abstract and realist content and his detailed techniques, the materials are reproduced as artworks that refer to nature, city, or other objects. Through this exhibition, viewers will see how the raw and standardized aluminum materials have been distinctively transformed and assorted according to the artist’s aesthetic practicality and visual inspiration.

Artist Kyung Youl Yoon is currently residing and working in the New York area in America, and his Journey solo exhibition will be on view from October 1 to October 13, 2015 with its opening reception on Friday, October 2, from 4pm to 6pm. The show represents Recycle 8, 58×156 inches along with 7 pieces from the Recycle series, and 12 abstract series paintings. United Gallery is located at Gangnam Dae-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
